What are the 2016 Miss Teenage Canada Blog Assignments?
No other teen pageant in the world offers contestants their own WordPress blogs, and no other competition on the globe measures each teen’s skill at communicating in their public blog.
Adding this digital dimension to our dramatic live event, sixty-five Regional Delegates are tasked with completing three official blog assignments in advance. These commissioned posts are designed to test the authors’ abilities to write comprehensible stories.
The Blog Assignments measure how well each delegate uses the available technology to post pictures, embed videos, and how well they can harness Facebook and Twitter to promote their freshly published content. Their skills are individually appraised in late July and can add as much as 10% to each girls’ final score – one especially talented blogger will receive the 2016 Miss Teenage Canada Social Media Award.
The sixty-five different regional Miss Teenage Canada blogs are therefore uniquely cool; this is a totally awesome network of teen voices that originate from all across Canada. Each portal is authored by a young female blogger age 14 – 19 who uses her domain to articulate her platform, and dream out loud her career ambitions, and detail her plans for school as she reflects upon many other elements in her life including her sponsors, summer job, family, pets, passions and her quest for the crown. In July, each teen author must tackle three official blog assignments,
